New Video: Wellbeing in the Workplace for Lawyers and Professionals
In this conversation I chat to Brendan Beder about wellbeing in the workplace for lawyers and professionals. Brendan is an executive coach and an experienced immigration lawyer. Brendan and I discuss wellbeing, mental health and mindfulness in relation to both individuals and business owners. Brendan provides great practical wisdom and insights given his experience both as a lawyer and as a coach.
Brendan established Beder-Harrison in 1992. This followed his LL.M degree in Comparative Immigration Law at University College London where he also undertook a specialist course in Law Lecturing. He lectured in Commercial Law during his B.A. and LL.B. Degrees in South Africa also completing his Legal Training and worked for a Supreme Court Judge. Brendan’s Practice specialises in Tier 1, Tier 2, Sponsor Licences and other areas of Immigration Law leading to Settlement and Naturalisation. He assists firms of Solicitors which do not offer Immigration Law and trains firms setting up Immigration Departments.
Brendan qualified in Executive Coaching at Regents College in 2005 and has a passion for coaching Law and other Professionals on Well-being and Resilience in the Workplace as well as Change, Anger and Stress Management, Building Confidence and Enhancing Meaningful Business/Personal Relationships, achieving Work/Life Balance and Performance Excellence. He has delivered training since 2014 on Introduction to UK Immigration Law and practical aspects of applications under the PBS, Sole Representatives, Naturalisation and Well-being for Lawyers.
Brendan is an active member of the ILPA Well-being Working Group, presented at ILPA’s first Well-being Conference in 2019 and is an ILPA Well-being Ambassador.
